Summer is coming to an end and it is time to assess how my challenge is going this time around. Let me start, however, with saying that should you not read this post, at least note this: I just visited Scotland (Edinburgh and Highlands) and it is an amazingly beautiful country and I strongly recommend anyone who has the chance to visit it!
Start date: April 1st, 2018
End date: December 27th, 2020
2. Read 25 books in a year. (18/25) aka +2
I genuinely enjoyed both of my last reads, for different reasons. Reading Toni Morrison was long overdue and Home was truly beautifully and skilfully written. To all the boys I've loved before is a lovely, cute rom-com and a page turner (and I strongly recommend the movie if cute rom-coms are your thing!)
67. Finish a short story. ✓
Finally! Right above 6k words. Working on something else at the moment!
82. Visit Scotland. ✓
I was in fact not too excited about going to Scotland once the time came, but OH MY. Was it beautiful! Edinburgh is a beautiful, often fairytale-like city charged with history and legend, and for the highlands I certainly have no words. If you do have the chance, do visit. I have fallen in love, left my heart there, and am currently dying to go back already. Truly beautiful.
83. Visit at least 3 cities or towns in England. (2/3) aka +1
I visited York on my way to Scotland. It is a a lovely town, albeit small, however I must say the beauty of Edinburgh has kind of made me forget about York.
And, that's all! Hope you had a lovely summer/weekend! ♥
