April 2017 Update

posted by: reeby10 in mission101

Well... it's been five months since I remembered to update lol Unfortunately, I haven't done much since then, especially considering how long it's been. I have been busy, seeing as I started a new job in January and have still been working my other job along with that, but my list ends in just over two years now, and I've not made much progress overall. I'm thinking I may need to take this month to reassess and see how I can motivate myself to get some of this finished.

Start: July 15, 2016
End: April 12, 2019

In Progress:
84. Try 10 new recipes (4/10)
I made some vegan clam chowder and vegan gluten free cheesy bread.

Completed:
12. Watch 5 documentaries (5/5)
I went on a documentary watching spree and watched Vegucated, Venom Islands, The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness, Sushi: The Global Catch, and Food Chains, among others.

Changed:
86. Get and keep TRM etsy completely set up >> Get and keep personal etsy completely set up
We've folded TRM for a variety of reasons, so I'll (hopefully!) be going off on my own :)

Total completed: 2
Total failed: 0

My updated 101 in 1001

So, I've decided to revamp my 101 in 1001 goals. The last attempts did not work for a variety of reasons, but the biggest one was definitely accountability. I didn't keep very good track and I didn't pace myself with a mix of achievable goals and 'stretch' goals (the ones that are more difficult to attain). However, I think I've cottoned on to a strategy that will help me with more of my goals:

1. I've made my list public. People can subscribe and comment on my things (seriously)! Even if nobody does do so, I'll at least be paranoid about updating my list and keeping track of my goals.

2. I have set a calendar reminder to check my daily/weekly/monthly goals. That way, my list stays at the forefront of my mind. When I get bored over the summer (and I invariably do), I can check my list to see if there is something I could be doing.

3. Lastly, my list isn't in stone. If there are things that become literally impossible or that no longer fit my life, I can change them. I used to think changing goals was cheating, but it's honestly not. We are at different stages in our life, and goals change.

So here's my list. There are 101 goals on there. Wish me luck!

Start Date: 1 March 2017
End Date: 27 November 2019
